    We are recruiting for Resident Assistant/Reception staff, managers and supervisors to work at our Student Campus buildings which we rent out to leisure guests of all ages and from all around the world. You will welcome guests and work with our team and suppliers to ensure the guests enjoy their stay.

    Manager & Supervisor

    Contract: Temporary (Summer Period)
    Employment: Full-Time, Live-in at the building required

    Working hours: Long working hours, dealing with emergencies outside office hours (if required)

    Role and Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    These roles cover all the aspects of the Resident Assistant/Receptionist responsibilities; however you will be in charge of overseeing, checking, chasing up and reporting to the wider team.

    Ensuring our guests have a great stay, checking guests in and out is running smoothly, luggage is being stored safely and securely, taxis service is reliable, your team are hitting sales targets for tours and products, cash and card payments and collections are accurate and timely, responding and solving complicated or escalated requests, phone calls, emails and reviews.

    Caring for the building, ensuring the keys are all accounted for, that maintenance items have been carried out and reporting any malicious damage. Ensuring your building, rooms and common areas are tidy and clean for our guests.

    Communicating with cleaners, ensuring the housekeeping reports are accurate, monitoring progress and standards, reporting future occupancy levels to ensure enough cleaners are onsite. Plus also ensuring the rooms are ready for 3pm check ins.

    Linen management, without Linen we can’t sell the room, therefore we closely manage linen deliveries and stock by keeping accurate records

    Team work, to ensure the best standards for our guests we all need to work together, so communication is key. You will need to communicate with the whole team. Talking and emails are just the start, you will also need to manage handover notes, submit information for our accounts team for cash and charges etc, manage linen records, maintenance records and incident reports. All the reports will be kept on the cloud so that all members of our team can view the information real time. Ensuring the wider teams requirements are met, we give all our staff the flexibility to run their own team and rotas, as ultimately you will quickly understand what works well and how to improve.

    Person specification: 

    This role requires strong business, team and relationship qualities. You will need to motivate all members of your team, ensure everyone is pulling in the same direction. Therefore direct leadership experience in teams, clubs and other jobs will really help. You will be working closely with the Operations Director to ensure everything is running smoothly and implement any improvements.

    We are looking for friendly people who can build rapport and keep the peace with our guests and team. A friendly attitude combined with a strong work ethic, problem solving resilience, great reliability and time keeping, plus a passion for continual improvement.

    You will need to work on computers daily therefore word, excel and general computer knowledge to pick up different software will be required. You will need to be available before the buildings open so that we can train you on the processes, you will then need to train your team, therefore empathetic teaching technique helps.

    Strong English language skills are required in both speaking, reading and writing. Although we welcome any candidates who are visiting to improve their English further as we really value other language speakers such as Spanish, Italian, French, German, Cantonese.

    Working hours: 24hour reception, made up of 3 x 8.5 hour shifts.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Welcoming our guests, checking guests in and out, storing luggage, booking taxis, selling tours and products, taking payments, responding to requests, phone calls, emails and reviews.

    Caring for the building, managing the keys, reporting maintenance and tidying the common areas to ensure they remain clean and tidy for our guests.

    Communicating with cleaners, generating housekeeping reports and monitoring progress to ensure the rooms are ready for 3pm check ins.
